NORMAL — Wide receiver Andrew Edgar stood on the Hancock Stadium sideline Tuesday afternoon wrapped tightly enough to survive the December weather while watching his Illinois State teammates go through practice.
Edgar expects his status to change as early as Wednesday and “yes, 1,000 percent” anticipates being inside his No. 4 jersey on Saturday at the Fargodome and available to play in ISU’s 11 a.m. FCS quarterfinal playoff game against No. 1-ranked North Dakota State.
“They held me out today but I’ll be back at practice tomorrow,” Edgar said. “I had a concussion impact test this morning and I passed it.
