ST. LOUIS — The Illinois State basketball team was on the comeback trail all evening Thursday at Enterprise Center.
And then the trail ran out, and the only place left for the Redbirds to travel was back to Normal.
The seventh-seeded Redbirds trailed by 11 in the second half and rallied within two twice before dropping a 59-53 decision to No. 10 seed Evansville at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
"I'm disappointed for our program and our players, especially our seniors," ISU coach Ryan Pedon said after his second season guiding the Redbirds ended at 15-17.
