SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Illinois State women's basketball team (10-7, 6-1 MVC) held on to snap Missouri State's (13-4, 4-2 MVC) 15-game home winning streak, taking down the Lady Bears, 52-51 on Saturday afternoon at JQH Arena.
Fifth year Juliunn Redmond led the way for the Redbirds, scoring a game-high 19 points. Junior DeAnna Wilson posted her fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Brice Calip had 15 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Lady Bears. The defeat was Missouri State's fourth of the season and ended MSU's 19-game home winning streak over Valley opponents at JQH Arena.
