CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Illinois State kept Northern Iowa out of the end zone and took a giant step toward getting into the FCS playoffs Saturday with a 31-9 Missouri Valley Football Conference victory at the UNI-Dome.
“It’s a great win, a great team win,” ISU coach Brock Spack said. “It was very good complementary football.”
The 17th-ranked Redbirds improved to 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the MVFC with two games to play.
