The Illinois State University Women’s Basketball team dropped its sixth-consecutive game in a nine-point loss against the Huskies of Northern Illinois Sunday Afternoon in Moline, Ill.. Octavia Crump led the way for the ‘Birds, netting a game-high 20 points while also grabbing five rebounds, four steals and two blocks.
Crump was the lone Redbird to score in double digits. Lexie Taylor scored a career-high eight points, while Colleene Smith and Millie Stevens combined for 14 points.
“We were coming from behind again and that takes a lot of energy,” head coach Barb Smith said. “There were two stretches where we could not buy a basket, but we played good basketball the rest of the game.
