The Illinois State women's soccer team dropped a match to Kansas City, 2-0, on a rainy Sunday afternoon at Durwood Soccer Stadium in Kansas City. The Redbirds now move to 1-1-0 on the season and the Roos improve to 2-0-0.
"It was a tough loss on the road," said head coach Brad Silvey. "We played well enough to win but came up short in our attacking phases to break the score line. We also need to be more disciplined in our team and individual defending. Our effort was admirable but the details defined this game, and we simply weren't good enough on the day.
