IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Illinois State baseball team was topped by Iowa, 7-4, on Tuesday at Duane Banks Field with the teams splitting the season series after the Redbirds beat the Hawkeyes on 3/28/23 in Normal.
Illinois State (17-24 overall) was led by third-year junior Auggie Rasmussen and freshman Shai Robinson, both of which reached base safely three times.
Rasmussen had three hits while Robinson recorded a walk and two doubles.
Iowa improves to 32-11 in their hunt for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
