NORMAL, Ill – The U.S. Track & Field and Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2022 cross country academic awards this afternoon with both men's and women's Illinois State cross country teams earning All-Academic award for the eighth-straight year.
To be eligible for All-Academic, teams must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the most recent academic semester. The Redbirds men's squad posted a cumulative GPA of 3.24, while the women achieved a GPA of 3.69.
This year marks the 13th time in the last 15 years that the men have earned the All-Academic honor and 15thtime in the last 16 years that the women have received the recognition.
