Former Bradley assistant basketball coach Howard Moore has been upgraded to stable condition Sunday and is being treated for third-degree burns at an Ann Arbor, Mich., hospital.
Moore, who went on to become the head coach at UIC and is currently an assistant coach at Wisconsin, was a passenger in his family’s vehicle that was struck by a driver said to be traveling at a high rate of speed on the wrong side of the M-14 freeway near Ann Arbor early Saturday morning. The driver of the other vehicle, 23-year-old Samantha Winchester of Ann Arbor, was killed.
Also perishing in the crash were Moore’s wife, Jennifer, 46, and their 10-year-old daughter, Jaidyn.
