NORMAL — Howard Fleming Jr., a 6-foot-5 point guard from Male High School in Louisville, Ky., announced Wednesday he is signing a national letter of intent to play basketball for Illinois State beginning next season.

Fleming is the fourth recruit for ISU head coach Dan Muller in the one-week fall signing period, which ended Wednesday.

ISU left Wednesday for the Paradise Jam tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Redbirds (2-1) face Cincinnati (2-1) in a first-round game at 4:45 p.m. Friday. ISU will play three games in the tourney.
