The Illinois State women's track team leads the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships after six events at Cedar Falls, Iowa on Saturday with 81.16 points. Southern Illinois is second with 48.
After five events, the ISU men have 40 points in second, one-half point behind Northern Iowa.
Winning for ISU were pole vaulters Eduard Winner (16-5.25) and Ariana Cranston (12-10.75), Grace Beattie in the 5,000 (16:50.96) and long jumper Charde Golliday (19-5). Cranston's title was her second straight.
The Redbirds also won the women's distance medley relay in 11:45.99 and took second in the men's distance medley (10:08.
