Sacramento, Calif. – Redshirt freshman Alec Hartman finished as the top rookie in the west region in the 800m run, setting the Bradley school record at the NCAA Track and Field West Preliminary on Friday night.
Hartman crossed the finish line in 1:49.72, topping his own school record by 0.28 seconds. After qualifying for the final round at the preliminary on Thursday night, Hartman was the top finisher of four freshmen in the race to complete his rookie season on a strong note.
Also racing for the Braves on Friday was junior Haran Dunderdale in the 3,000m steeplechase.
