DEKALB, IL – Fifth-year senior guard Gabi Haack (Elk River, MN/Elk River HS) broke the Missouri Valley Conference career record for 3-point field goals on the way to a game-high 27 points, but Bradley (3-1) could not overcome the inside game from host Northern Illinois (2-1) as the Braves suffered their first loss of the season Monday night at the NIU Convocation Center.
Led by 21 points and 13 rebounds from A'Jah Davis, Northern Illinois put four players in double figures and outscored the Braves, 42-26, in the paint. Mikayla Brandon added a second double-double for the Huskies with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while the Huskies also received double-digit scoring from a pair of guards – Chelby Koker with 18 points and Janae Poisson with 11.
