NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team defeated Missouri Valley Conference opponent Southern Illinois, 60-52, on Friday night. Senior Simone Goods led the team with 16 points and 10 rebounds, posting her sixth double-double of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Goods added a bucket for the 'Birds with 7:03 on the clock in the first to end Southern's early 5-0 run. Illinois State was led by junior guard TeTe Maggett in the first quarter who sank two pivotal 3-pointers, one coming seconds before the buzzer.
