Freshman tailback Robinson makes impact for ISU

NORMAL — The Illinois State offense has not scored a touchdown in more than 103 minutes after a 20-6 loss to Youngstown State on Saturday at Hancock Stadium. That’s nearly seven quarters.

Just don’t blame tailback James Robinson. The true freshman was a bright light in another dreary performance with 103 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving on three catches.

“I enjoyed it, but we still have to be able to finish things,” Robinson said. “I think I’ve adjusted pretty well.”

Robinson broke a rush for 43 yards and transformed a screen pass seemingly headed nowhere into a 27-yard gain.
