NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State women's basketball team (4-14, 1-6 MVC) will begin a four-game Missouri Valley Conference homestand Friday when the Redbirds welcome fifth-place Evansville (8-10, 3-4 MVC), with tipoff slated for 7 p.m. on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena. Friday is also Youth Basketball Night and $1 hot dogs will be served at the concession stands.
THE SERIES:
Illinois State and Evansville are meeting for the 48th time in series history, dating back to Jan. 14, 1995, when the Purple Aces joined the conference. The Redbirds won the first-ever meeting, 83-58, inside Redbird Arena, which started an eight-game win streak in the series.
