PEORIA — Former Bradley University assistant men’s basketball coach Howard Moore, now assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin, was in critical condition Saturday after a car crash that killed his wife and his daughter.
The Detroit News and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that a 23-year-old woman, driving in the wrong direction on Michigan’s highway M-14, slammed into oncoming traffic at 2:04 a.m. Saturday.
The woman was killed, as were Moore’s wife, Jen, and daughter, Jaidyn. Moore’s son, Jerrell survived. Moore suffered burns and other injuries and was in a Michigan hospital Saturday afternoon.
“He is in critical condition and undergoing some surgeries at a hospital in Ann Arbor,” said former Bradley assistant coach Al Biancalana, who was on BU head coach’s Jim Molinari’s and Jim Les’ staff with Moore nearly 20 years ago.
