Former Bradley basketball star Walt Lemon Jr. has signed a two-way contract with the Boston Celtics, according to a report on Yahoo! Sports.
Lemon, who played for the Braves from 2010-14 and still ranks as the program’s seventh-leading scorer with 1,721 career points, made his NBA debut with the New Orleans Pelicans last season.
A 6-foot-3 point guard, Lemon played 35 minutes for the Pelicans, and he recently finished a stint with their Summer League team.
The two-way contract means Lemon will spend most of his time next season playing for the Celtics’ affiliate in the G-League, the Maine Red Claws, but he is available for Boston’s roster as well.
