Henry Thomas, a Bradley University graduate and a former BU basketball player who went on to become one of the NBA’s most influential player agents, died Saturday morning after suffering from a neuromuscular disease.
He was 64.
In his 30-year career as an agent, Chicago native Thomas represented some of the sport’s highest profile players, many from the Chicago area. Prominent professionals such as Dwyane Wade, Tim Hardaway, Sr., Michael Finley, Chris Bosh, Udonis Haslem, Peoria native Shaun Livingston and former Bradley standout Anthony Parker were among Thomas’ clients.
He was a point guard for the Braves from 1970-74, playing for coach Joe Stowell.
