ST. LOUIS – The duo of Jana Kustkova and Laura Fitzgerald were tabbed as the MVC Doubles Team of the Week after guiding the Redbirds to a 5-2 finish over the reigning MVC tournament champions Missouri State, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Then tandem took down Alye Darter/Mara Presot 6-2 en route to a 5-2 win for the Redbirds. The two remain undefeated when they play together, boasting an 8-0 record and sit 3-0 in the MVC. This is the first weekly honor for the duo and the second for the program this season.
