BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Elise Fennell carded a collegiate person-best-round of 69 – tied for the lowest round in school history by a freshman – and is tied for 11th after the first of three days of the Clash at Boulder Creek.
Fennell classmate Jessica Jolly tied her career-best with a 70 and is tied for17th in the field.
The Redbirds' opening round 295 has the team in 14th place with 36 holes remaining in the tournament, while Fresno State leads with a 272. San Francisco (274), Northern Arizona (280), Drake (282), UC Riverside (284), Boise State (287), Northern Colorado (287), Washington State (288), South Dakota State (289), Tarleton State (289), UTRGV (292), CSU Bakersfield (293), and Cal State Fullerton (293) all sit directly ahead of the Redbirds, while Southern Utah (300), UTEP (300), and Incarnate Word (310) round out the 17 schools in the field.
