NORMAL, Ill. – Fall training camp officially came to an end on Saturday, as the Illinois State football team held its annual Red-White fall scrimmage at Hancock Stadium to cap off camp before the team officially begins classes on Monday.
The scrimmage focused on several different scenarios, including driving the field, overtime work, goal line work, a two-minute session and live special teams snaps. The Redbirds went through the hour and a half scrimmage in front of a big crowd of freshmen who came to the stadium as part of welcome week festivities at ISU.
Scoring Summary:
• Quarterback Tommy Rittenhouse led the Redbirds to a touchdown on the first drive of the scrimmage, as he marched the offense down the field from its own 27 yard line to find the end zone in seven plays as Josh Robison barreled his way in for a touchdown from two yards out.
