PEORIA – Former Peoria High and Bradley basketball standout Marcellus Sommerville has been named the CEO of the Peoria Friendship House of Christian Service.
Sommerville, recently retired from a 14-year professional career overseas, joins the long-time Peoria organization that provides support, advocacy, coaching and education to city residents in need.
“I am very excited to be joining Peoria Friendship House as the new CEO,” Sommerville said in a statement. “The Friendship House has a great business model, talented board and staff that uniquely position us to be a great asset in our community, especially during these unprecedented times.
