LINCOLN, Neb. — Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos has announced that assistant men’s basketball coach Jim Molinari will serve as interim head coach for the Huskers.
“It has been my practice to designate someone to be in charge during a time of transition,” Moos said in a press release. “Because Jim has experience as a head coach, I can be confident that every aspect of the program will be monitored.”
Molinari has served on the Husker coaching staff since 2014 under Tim Miles, who was dismissed on Tuesday.
Molinari, 64, was head coach at Western Illinois and Minnesota after he was fired in 2002 following 11 years at Bradley.
