MOLINE — Even as the Illinois State women's basketball team defeated Evansville twice during the regular season, Purple Aces' junior Sara Dickey riddled the Redbirds for a combined 50 points.
Dickey was once again trouble for ISU at the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament on Thursday at the iWireless Center, and the Redbirds couldn't lift themselves out of it.
Dickey swished a baseline jumper with three seconds remaining in overtime to propel No. 10 seed Evansville to a 61-59 victory over No. 7 ISU.
"I was the second option," Dickey said. "It came to me, and I had to make a move and score.
