NORMAL — Illinois State head basketball coach Dan Muller announced the signing of 6-foot-5 wing Emon Washington, a senior at South Cobb High School in the Atlanta suburbs, to a national letter of intent Tuesday to play for the Redbirds.

Washington spent his previous three years at Yazoo County High School in Mississippi. Last season, Yazoo County went 30-1 and fell in the semifinals of the Class 3A Mississippi State Tournament, while his squad on the Under Armour Rise Circuit went 18-4, falling in the championship game.
