Junior forward Elijah Childs of the Bradley men's basketball team was named to the Lou Henson Award Preseason Watch List, announced on Wednesday. The award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.
Childs is coming off a season where he lifted the Braves to their first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship in 31 years. A third-team All-Valley selection, Childs was second on the team as a sophomore with 12.4 points, while leading BU with 7.8 rebounds and 50 total blocks.
The forward was named Arch Madness Most Outstanding Player during Bradley's postseason run – averaging 12.
