SEATTLE, Wash. – The opening game of the four-game series between Illinois State and Pac-12 foe Washington was tight throughout, but a late run for the Redbirds (6-4) gave them a 3-2 victory over the host Huskies (6-6) Friday night at Husky Ballpark.
ISU starter Brady Huffman was solid once again, allowing just two earned runs on four hits while striking out six in 5.1 innings of work. Michael Sebby, Trevor Cross, and Kyle Pauly combined to hold the Huskies scoreless over the final 3.2 innings to secure the victory.
