NORMAL, Ill. – Illinois State standout freshman wide receiver Andrew Edgar has added another postseason accolade, as he has been named to the 2018 HERO Sports FCS Freshman All America Team as an honorable mention selection by the organization Monday.
Edgar follows in the footsteps of teammate Drew Himmelman, who was named to the squad last season. The Chicago native recently finished tenth in the voting for the 2018 STATS FCS Jerry Rice Award, presented annually to the top freshman in FCS football, and was also a 2018 Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team pick.
