OMAHA, NE – Creighton designated hitter Alan Roder hit a 3-run home run in the seventh inning and the Bluejays (5-7) made the blast stand up, taking a 6-4 win against visiting Bradley (5-8) in the opening game of a shortened, 2-game series Saturday afternoon at TD Ameritrade Park.
The Braves pushed across four runs in the third inning to build a 4-2 lead. Jackson Chatterton, who finished 2-for-3 at the plate, drove home Bradley's first run with a RBI single before TJ Manteufel, who had doubled earlier in the inning, scored on a wild pitch to pull the Braves into a 2-2 tie.
