Sydney Holt had 10 kills to lead Illinois State's volleyball team Monday as the Redbirds snapped a three-match losing streak with a straight-sets victory over Indiana State at Terre Haute, Ind.
The Redbirds prevailed 25-21, 27-25, 25-21 to improve to 14-10 overall and 7-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Holt had two solo blocks and two block assists. Kaylee Martin and Monica Miller each had nine kills for ISU, which outhit the Sycamores, .209 to .103.
Stef Jankiewicz had 38 assists and Katy Weimerskirch a team-high 20 digs for the Redbirds. Indiana State (5-18, 3-10) was led by Nikkie White with nine kills.
