The Illinois State volleyball team (7-5) fell in five sets to Dayton (7-6) on Saturday to wrap up the Buckeye Invitational at Columbus, Ohio.
Redbird freshman Sarah Kushner, who had 10 kills and 14 digs, was selected to the all-tournament team after ISU's 19-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 15-13 loss, which was its fourth in a row.
Kaylee Martin led the Redbirds with 26 kills on .310 hitting while Sydney Holt added 11 kills. Stef Jankiewicz had 49 assists as ISU outhit the Flyers, .222 to .217. Kendal Meier had a team-high 23 digs. Jamie Peterson sparked Dayton with 24 kills.
