The Redbirds shot a 9-under 855, the 10th best score in tournament history. Kansas (859) was second followed by Iowa State (863) and Nevada (863).
“I am beyond proud of this group,” said Coach Ray Kralis. “They handled themselves so well from start to finish. Leading wire-to-wire isn’t as easy as it sounds, especially in a field like this.”
Five Redbirds cracked the top 30 led by David Perkins, who tied for third with an 8-under 208. Teammate Trent Wallace tied for seventh (213) while Andrew O'Brien tied for 11th (216) and David Rauer tied for 20th (219).
