The final two Missouri Valley Conference Tournament baseball games scheduled for Saturday were postponed to Sunday, with Illinois State and Missouri State playing an 11 a.m. elimination game at Hammons Field in Springfield, Mo.
The top-seeded Bears (40-16) forced a rematch with the No. 8 seed Redbirds (15-39) with an 8-6 victory that ended after midnight early Saturday. Missouri State scored four runs in the first off ISU starter Colton Johnson (1-5) and added two in the second.
The Redbirds scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth with help from three Bears errors before Colin Braithwaite grounded out to end the game.
