Kiley Walsh shot an even-par 72 Monday to lead Illinois State's women's golf team to a round of 296, helping the Redbirds move up one spot to fifth place after two rounds of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan.
Walsh is tied for 11th with a 152 total heading into Tuesday's final round. The Redbirds are at 615 after shooting 23 strokes better than Sunday's opening round.
Missouri State leads with a 600, three shots ahead of Southern Illinois. ISU is one shot out of fourth place and five shots out of third.
