Jake Stewart had three of Illinois Wesleyan's 16 hits Tuesday as the Titans downed North Central, 16-9, in game one of a scheduled baseball doubleheader at Naperville.
Game two of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin twin bill was suspended by darkness after six innings and will be finished May 1 at IWU prior to the series finale.
IWU (13-10, 4-6) also received two hits each from Nick Figus, John Bosco, Jacob Houghton, Mike Plecki and Eric Kozlowski. Figus and Gino Cavalieri hit home runs.
Joe Prestamer, the last of IWU's three pitchers, got the win after allowing one run on four hits over the final 5u2153 innings.
