The Illinois State baseball team committed five errors and allowed four unearned runs during a 17-3 loss to Creighton at Omaha, Neb., on Saturday.
Creighton (12-6), which led 8-0 after one inning, swatted four home runs and outhit the 13-11 Redbirds, 16-10.
Derek Parola had two hits and one RBI for ISU, which has lost five straight. Jordan Libman also had two hits for the Redbirds, who received RBIs from Joe Aeilts and Jack Butler. Aeilts also had a double.
Brent Headrick (1-3), the first of three ISU pitchers, took the loss after allowing nine hits in four innings.
