Illinois State senior guard Paris Lee received honorable mention on the Associated Press All-America basketball team, the first such honor for a Redbird since Tarise Bryson received honorable mention in 2001.
The AP All-America team was selected by the 65-member national media panel that votes on the AP Top 25.
Lee was the lone Missouri Valley Conference selection on the list. The 2017 MVC Larry Bird Player of the Year and MVC Defensive Player of the Year, Lee set the ISU record with 248 steals and finished fourth in career assists with 495.
He also holds the ISU record for games started (132) and ended 21st on the career scoring list with 1,268 points.
