Michael Fletcher scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 14th inning to lift Saint Louis to a 5-4 nonconference victory over Illinois State on Wednesday in St. Louis.
The Redbirds (7-9) scored two runs each in the second and third innings. Brian Rodemoyer and Jean Ramirez cracked solo home runs for ISU, while Joe Kelch had three of the Redbirds' 13 hits.
Rhett Rapshus pitched four innings of scoreless, one-hit relief for the Redbirds. Mitch Vogrin became ISU's seventh pitcher in the 13th inning and took the loss.
Saint Louis improved to 7-10.
