Illinois State baseball player Jacob Hendren has been named a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award, an honor recognizing Division I student-athletes who have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.
Hendren is among 30 candidates for the CLASS (an acronym for “Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School”) award, which encourages student-athletes to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
A LeRoy native and University High School graduate, Hendren earned All-Missouri Valley Conference first-team honors last year as a junior and was the league’s Newcomer of the Year.
