Illinois Wesleyan senior guard Rebekah Ehresman was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Most Outstanding Player and the Titans' Mia Smith was tabbed the CCIW Coach of the Year on Friday.
Ehresman, an El Paso-Gridley High School graduate, was the first IWU player to win the award since Olivia Lett in 2012. In 16 conference games, Ehresman led the CCIW in three categories: assists (4.69), steals (2.94) and assist/turnover ratio (4.17).
Smith was selected for the sixth time after leading the Titans to their eighth conference regular-season title in program history. Smith has been head coach for all of those championships.
