The Illinois State volleyball team clinched a share of the Missouri Valley Conference championship on Friday despite being upset by Bradley, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23, at Peoria.
With the end of their 15-match winning streak, the Redbirds ended the regular season with records of 24-6 overall and 16-2 in the league. However, fellow league power Northern Iowa (21-9, 15-2) suffered a five-set loss at Evansville (10-20, 4-13). UNI must win at Indiana State (10-19, 3-14) on Saturday to share the MVC crown with the Redbirds.
Bradley, which improved to 23-7 and 13-5, had lost 25 of its previous 26 meetings with ISU since 2005.
