Anthony Lunsford, a 2018 Illinois Wesleyan graduate and a former collegiate bowling standout at Ashford University, has been selected as IWU's women's bowling coach, Titans' athletic director Mike Wagner announced Monday.
Lunsford is the first coach of the program, which will begin competition in the 2020-21 academic year.
Lunsford has more than 15 years of experience in bowling, dating back to his time as a youth bowler. He served as a volunteer youth league coach from 2009-2013 prior to his collegiate career at Ashland.
He helped Ashford to a NAIA National Tournament appearance in 2014-15 as well as two tournament wins prior to transferring to IWU.
