The Illinois State volleyball team returned to its winning ways with a 25-12, 25-18, 25-13 three-set sweep of host Evansville on Friday.
The Redbirds improved to 12-6 overall and sit atop the Missouri Valley Conference standings at 5-1 along with Southern Illinois. Evansville fell to 4-15, 0-6.
Jaelyn Keene had 13 kills while hitting at a sizzling .632 pace. Ali Line added 10 (.348) for the Redbirds, who hit .279 for the match.
Jacqueline Ting handed out 38 assists while anchoring the defensive end with 12 digs. Conference dig leader Courtney Pence led the Redbirds with 14.
