The Illinois State men's golf team, led by co-runner-up Trent Wallace, placed third in the 17-team Little Rock Invitational to end its fall campaign at Little Rock, Ark., on Tuesday.
The Redbirds' fourth top-three finish of the fall came after posting a three-round score of 865 (290-287-288) to finish behind No. 19 Arkansas State (863) and No. 23 UNLV (864).
“We stayed right with two top-25 teams, which highlights the potential of this squad," said ISU coach Ray Kralis, who saw Wallace shoot 73-213 to tie for second behind UNLV's Harry Hall (69-210).
Other Redbird scorers were David Rauer (72-216), Joel Dumford (74-221) and Dan Anfield (69-221).
