ST. LOUIS — Illinois State's two regular season victories over Missouri State did not come wrapped in any manner of complacency.
While the 18-13 Redbirds are the No. 5 seed for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at the Enterprise Center and the 9-22 Bears are No. 12 entering the 2:30 p.m. game Thursday, Missouri State has not been as inept as a 2-18 Valley record might indicate.
"They played everybody close," ISU coach Ryan Pedon said. "They are playing well. It's going to be a tough game."
