CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Twin sisters Kristen Busch (Waterloo, Ill./Freeburg) and Caitlin Busch (Waterloo, Ill./Freeburg) crossed the line together to claim the top two spots in the women’s 5,000 meters to highlight day one of the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships for Bradley men’s and women’s track & field teams.
Kristen and Caitlin Busch both registered the same time of 16:42.68 in the women’s 5,000 meters, with Kristen edging out her twin sister by thousandths of a second to claim top honors in the event. The MVC indoor 5,000 meter title is the second for Kristen and gives the Busch twins the last three MVC indoor 5,000 crowns with Caitlin winning the honor last season.
