The Bradley cross country teams gained some momentum on Friday heading toward the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in two weeks with a pair of strong performances.
The BU women finished first at the Bradley Pink Classic for the first time in school history, while the men competed in one of the strongest fields in the country at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational with senior Jake Hoffert leading the way by clocking the eighth-best time in school history.
On its home course at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, the Bradley women finished with three of the top six times to win the meet for the first time since it began in 2004.
