MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Bradley Softball slugged seven doubles among its season-high 17 hits and had its highest scoring game in over a year, posting a 12-8 victory over UMKC Friday afternoon to wrap up the first day of the Blues City Classic.
Junior Gabby Stoner and sophomore Kealia Wysocki both collected three hits to highlight a Bradley offensive attack which featured seven players with multi-hit games. Junior Megan Mahaffy picked up the victory out of the bullpen for her first win of the season.
Bradley (5-7 overall) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead on a first-inning sacrifice fly off the bat of senior Maria Schroeder.
