Valparaiso, Ind. – Seniors Nick King and Troy Hickey combined for a five-hit shutout as the Bradley baseball team earned a 2-0 victory over Valparaiso on Sunday to win the weekend series. The Braves, who have now won four of their last five conference series, improve to 18-26 with the victory and 9-9 in Missouri Valley Conference play – taking over sole possession of fourth place in the league standings. Valparaiso, meanwhile, falls to 15-30 overall and 4-14 against MVC foes.
King, who allowed two or fewer runs in his eighth-straight appearance and fifth-straight start, again dominated the opposition as the senior pitched a career-best 8.
